What I would like to see:

Druids - Very iffy. But I would LIKE to see this happen. Have the elementalist's earth/wind/fire/water split up into different heroes with all new moves, and attributes.

Beasts - Maybe can play as a Charr or Mursaat, dwarf? Something new.

Lancers - Warriors that use longer weapons.

Ninja Turtles -

Of course if all these were to be made lots of skills and attribues and weapons will have to be changed in the original ones.

I'd take some ideas from Final Fantasy Tactics...

I love the idea of new classes. As has already been mentioned GW has a dual-class system in place that allows players to create just about anything they want. Here are examples:

Druid, a nature caster that heals party members and attacks enemies. E/Mo (lightning and fire magic, healing prayers)
Shaman/Witchdoctor, a primitive caster that heals party members and diseases enemies. N/Mo. (Curses, healing prayers)
Bard, a support class that buffs the party and debuffs the enemies. Me/Mo (although they are mainly target buff/debuffs)
Paladin, a holy knight that protects allies and heals. W/Mo
Dark Knight, the opposite of Paladin. W/N
Enchanter, a caster focused on crowd control. Me/N
Summoner, a caster who creates pets/golems to fight for him. Okay...got me on that one... maybe R/N?
Battle Mage, fights with weapons and casts deadly spells on enemies. W/E

Again, I'd love to see new classes appear in GW. With the possiblities A.Net has already put in the game the addition of unique classes seems difficult to say the least. I definitely think we need another tank and another healer just for variety.

Perhaps along the lines of a previous post, picking certain profession combos will change the name of your class and give access to an additional skill line. Maybe W/Mo would change the name to Paladin and grant a Holy Knight skill line. It would combo some healing, some protection, and some weapon/defensive skills. Make a Mo/Me and be called a Bard, and get access to Bardic Emphasis which combos healing and domination lines but for mass group casting.

This leads to the question "But if they implement that and I change my secondary in the desert, will that change my new class title?" Yes, it would. It would also grant you access to the new title's skill line, and cause you to grind out more skill points or faction to unlock everything.

Well enough of my bad ideas. Happy gaming all.

I say they add in the Whiny Ten Year Old class...There seems to be plenty of people already playing it.

I like the idea of a rogue / thief / ...archer? type class. In other games like this, there tends to be a character who is fast, but weaki, and GW to me doesn't have this. The ranger in GW is actually not a lot like the traditional archer - a ranger is just like a weaker warrior, really, with of course other skills. I mean, the ranger has the second highest armour. What i'd like to see is a character which utilized speed. This would be the primary attribute of the class, and would influence movement speed (in combat only, so they don't always get ahead of the group) and ability to dodge enemy attacks. A weak character who is fast and hard to hit is an RPG staple, and with rangers as they are it's really missing from GW. As for attacks, i propose this char would utilize 'attack stealing' (this would be another attibute of the class), which would use the skills of whatever target it faced back at that target. This character would tend to get used also as the mob-lure, able to run into them, and then come back fast dodging the damage. i envisage the character then moving quickly around the centre of the battle, moving from target to target, long enough to use a skill from each back against them, or the whole group of enemies (depending upon the skill of course). There would be a time limit before an enemy could have another skill from them used, so the character has to keep moving and switiching - this will induce a lot of variety into the battles. The char would be able to survive in the middle of the battle, despite low armour, due to it's dodging ability. Another attribute could perhaps be a bard function, where this char can also use 'dances' or music or whatever to aid the whole party - again able to just dance around through a battle due to it's chance of evading attacks. Finally, as the last attribute, some sort of stealth? This woul make it more equivalent to the scout one sees in other games.

To my mind, a lot of this is what the ranger should have been - as fast, nimble character, rather than a secondary tank. But, the rangers we have work well as they are, so i think creating this new class would be a great idea.

EDIT: before anyone attacks me for it, yes, i am aware that i have just copied a lot of ideas already aired in the thread. I was just trying to combine the best into a playable character. So when i talk about party support with dancing, see the more detailed post someone made on that above, for instance. Someone above also mentioned the idea of copying the attacks of enemies, although i actually wrote that myself before i saw it.

I don't think there should be any new classes, what we really need is new races like tengu, mursaat, undead.
